Japanese Project Promotion Vehicle in the Far East Limited Liability Company (JPPV) signed on September 5, 2018 a Cooperation Agreement with Yakutia Investment Development Agency and Yakutia Development Corporation JSC. The Cooperation Agreement is to enhance closer relationship between JPPV and the Organizations on working together through the exchange of advice and knowledge in connection with the preparation and implementation of an investment projects to the territory of Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
Yakutia Investment Development Agency was established by the Government of Sakha Republic (Yakutia) on 8 April 2013. The Agency is a specialized organization for attracting investments and supporting investors on "one-stop-shop" basis in the territory of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). At present the Agency combines the functions of the Investment Promotion Agency, Export Support Center and the Public-Private Partnership Development Center.
Yakutia Development Corporation JSC - the regional development institute, created by the Yakutia government in 2014. It was done to promote the development of the region using advanced and effective tool that can attract investors and support their projects at all stages of implementation.
The Organizations are Russian organizations, which purpose is to promote investment projects, attracting investors to the territory of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) to improve the socio-economic level of the regional development and the welfare of its citizens.
JPPV was established on 14 March 2018 as a joint venture company co-founded by Japan Bank for International Cooperation, the Far East Investment and Export Agency and the Far East and Baikal Region Development Fund aiming to support Japanese companies in starting their business in Russia and promoting projects planned to be implemented in Russian Far East to potential Japanese investors.
The cooperation between JPPV and the Organizations will become a practical step forward in enhancement of activity of Japanese investors in Sakha Republic (Yakutia), using opportunities of ASEZ and contribute to further deepening of economic relations between Japan and Russia.
